Millions of dead people, broken families, broken generations. The First World War has brought suffering and desolation to all, beyond factions and origins. The agency, Fred & Farid, wanted to give a face to all the deceased. By using more than 30,000 archive pictures and different techniques and algorithms such as face recognition, we were able to recreate an average face, the face of the unknown, the face of all the disappeared.
